Margaret A. Powers
Founder and Chief Creative Thinking Partner
About
Margaret has over a decade of experience, on three continents, designing and facilitating trainings, engaging in program design, and creating instructional resources. She is passionate about creating innovative approaches to education via a variety of mediums that inspire students and teachers to rediscover the joy of learning. She believes the key to making learning engaging and meaningful is using human-centered design principles and gathering data and feedback throughout the design process.
Margaret has a unique background rooted in constructivist practices, global education, and the Reggio Emilia Approach (a deep respect for all learners, teachers as documenters and facilitators, & the belief that every child has 100s of languages of expression). She has designed multiple makerspaces for different age ranges, facilitated workshops and learning cohorts for educators around the globe, both in-person and virtually. Margaret has also worked with school leaders to lead curriculum audits, implement strategic plans, and develop a school culture of thinking and learning.
Margaret grew up in the Southeast and New England. She has lived in three countries and currently resides with her twin toddlers and her partner (also an educator!) in Philadelphia. She loves finding ways to save time with effective tech tools, meditation, and a well-curated playlist!
